Adsorption Mechanism

Biomolecules with negative charges are separated out from solutions by binding to DEA ligands fixed on the graft chains inside the hollow fiber pore structure.

Due to these long graft chains with high ligand density, QyuSpeed D is able to achieve a three dimensional multi-point adsorption which makes it much more effective than flat membrane adsorbers and traditional resins.

Depending on the isoelectric points (pI) of the target proteins and the pHs of the protein solutions, either flow-through mode (no binding of the target protein) or bind & elute mode (binding of the target protein) can be used.
