High Binding Capacity
For traditional anion exchange resins, mass transfer is ensured by diffusion and thus a low linear flow rate is necessary to maintain an acceptable binding capacity. In contrast, for QyuSpeed D, mass transfer is ensured by convection. Accordingly, the binding capacity is unaffected by the flow rate.
The maximum flow rate for QyuSpeed D can be as high as 13 MV (membrane volume)/min, whereas the maximum flow rate with traditional resins cannot exceed 1-2 CV (column volume)/min. For example, the QyuSpeed D 150 mL module can provide a 2,000 mL/min flow rate.
